When choosing your method of producing power many things need to be considered.
Your personal preference, your ability to install and maintain equipment, your location, weather patterns, regulations and many more things will impact which you install.
I do solar, but.... I am constructing a wind system to produce power as well. I will run my solar by day and wind charger by night.
I have the ability to do all three methods, but my stream is too far from the buildings to be able to transmit the power generated all the way to my controller and inverter.
If I could, I would do hydro.. It is more reliable and easy to maintain, so if you have the ability to do hydro, that is the way to go.
Solar is my second choice due to its ease of use and easy care. But not everywhere is well suited for solar, so that makes wind the obvious answer.
I prefer turbines over blades due to the fact that turbos can be at ground level for installation and repair.
This is just a brief mini guide to help you get started. You must study and research out every obstacle you can think of. I suggest you devote yourself to serious study on the differences, pros and cons of each of these three methods.
