How To Keep More Money In Your Pocket

By Jim Calhoun

In these uncertain times we need to have as much money available to us as possible. Making extra money doing odd jobs etc... is great, but many cannot simply go out and hustle extra work. That leaves several options still available to you.

First, budget. Save every penny you can and severely limit your purchases. You may have to do without, but you will often find that you discover you did not even need the things that you decided to not buy.

People hate to budget. But if you find yourself in a hole, quit digging! Coming up with a strict budget may be the only option you have.

Second, use old money. This means to re use everything you can. Some even go so far as to wash throwaway plastic utensils.

Using old money means that you keep your old car as long as it is dependable. It means not upgrading your gadgets if the ones you already have do the job.

I do not have a smart phone, but do have a flip phone that I bought 4 years ago for $19.00.

I can go online, watch videos, text, take photos and have all sorts of apps and games. So far my phone prorates out to $5.00 a year to own it, and I will keep using it til it fails.

If you have bulk material in your possession, lets say for clothes, use the money already spent on the material amd make your own clothes.

Is that beneath you?? If you think it is, you need to do some self reflection...

Re use, re purpose and keep doing that with everything. You will find that you are saving money quickly.

You have to not worry about what "THEY" say. Who is "THEY" anyway and why in  the world would you even care

 what "THEY" think.

Last but not least, learn to say the word "NO", even if you have to tell that word to yourself. Stay alert and be extremely picky about what you say yes to.

Will power will be needed, but f you can establish firm financial boundries, you will be on your way to having more money stay in your possession.
